In the Box

I came across the original gallery photos of these recently. This was a part of my graduate exhibition when I was at OCA. 9 6' x 6' panels. The construction of these pieces consisted of oak frames with lacquered cotton stretched on both sides and plywood cut-outs of a camera, a lamp, a table, a chair and a window with the cotton on one side being painted red, yellow or blue. the pieces onontripods were plywood, plexiglass and fifties Arbourite (Formica)on tripods were plywood, plexiglass and fifties Arbourite (Formica)

I milled the oak for the frames down from 2 X 10 rough cut planks. It was quite the project. The legs on the tripods below were walnut and oak. I loved working with the walnut.
